Beyond the beautiful beaches, there are a lot of things to do around the Fagali’i Airport. One of the most popular places to visit is the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum which has a lot of Polynesian culture on display. There is also the Palolo Deep Marine Reserve which is filled with coral and fish species to see. There are also a number of golf courses such as Faleata Golf Course and Le Penina Golf Course.

The main airport that the airlines fly to is the Pago Pago International Airport. This is because that airport has long enough runways to accommodate the biggest airplanes. Passengers then debark and take a smaller plane to Fagali’i Airport which has an airstrip that can’t accommodate the large planes. One benefit of this is that the noise of airplanes taking off and landing is really limited on Upolu due to these circumstances.
